Oil Field Contractors
Oil Field Contractors (OFC), a division of Haj Ben Ali Organization had been engaged in water well drilling in Libya since 1959. The company contracted, turn keyed and drilled over 1016 wells for various oil companies and government agencies throughout Libya. Drilling these wells were carried out using three methods, by cable tool percussion, by direct rotary and by reverse drilling. OFC always tried to use the best method for drilling the wells that was most suitable for the area, using the latest designed and manufactured drilling equipment. OFC employed drilling crew personnel that had the best knowledge and background experience in drilling.

OFC division, with headquarters in the AL-Keish Area of Benghazi, maintained a good relationship over the years with the various oil companies and continued to work with them year after year, fulfilling their water-source needs in the various concessions assigned to them. Furthermore OFC accomplished successful and satisfactory works for the many government agencies that it worked for.
OFC in 1970 was awarded the contract to drill in Kufra on the Kufra Agriculture Project. After mobilizing its equipment drilling operations on this project were started in March of 1970. The overall operation found OFC drilling and completing 113 production wells and 20 duel piezometer wells in the Kufra Oasis Farm Area. The works were successfully completed in December 1972 and handed over to the Kufra Agriculture Production Authorities.
